Legacy Five with Gus Gaches

Happy New Year!

I’m going to bed, but wanted to post that just like everyone expected, Gus Gaches was out of this world in his debut with Legacy Five.  I can’t wait to hear him again when he isn’t under the weather!  I’ve always liked Legacy Five, but now, they may be the best group going.

Tonight was also my first time hearing Greater Vision with Jacob Kitson and I was very impressed with them.   Greater Vision had more “umph” tonight than I’ve seen them have in ten years or so.

  1. Hmmm that is a great compliment for L5… Gus must have really nailed it! :) I absolutely cannot wait to hear them with Gus! I think he is one of the most underrated and best tenors in the business. Look for him to really get some attention over the next few years… Maybe even a favorite tenor award!

  2. [...] Gaches/Legacy Five. Brandon’s blog post is worth reading, and the videos on Daniel’s blog tell the story.  Gus will become one of [...]

  3. Nate, if he doesn’t get the best tenor award then the awards are a joke I think. … oh wait, favorite tenor, not best.. (well, anybody’s guess then). As far as tenors, he is in a class of his own. In a southern gospel environment where every tenor tries to be brain free, ernie haase/phillips, etc.. (which gets real old and annoying after a while), it’s refreshing to see a tenor that can actually sing his tail off instead of the typical tenor singing (squealing/shrill nails on a chalkboard).

  4. I know some SG tenors who appear to be brain free. ;-)
