N’Harmony reforms

The news broke today that Shane Dunlap has reformed N’Harmony, the group he owned before joining Signature Sound.  Joining him are tenor Brent Mitchell, baritone Chris Whitaker, and bass Will VanWyngarden.  You can head over to the group’s Myspace page to listen to clips from their upcoming project.  Songs include “Step Into The Water”, “The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power”, “He Loves Me”, and “That Old Time Religion”.

I think Shane has always been under-appreciated and Brent Mitchell is one of my favorite tenors in the industry.  I haven’t heard enough of the other two to give an opinion on them.  The clips sound great though, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the group’s new project.

  1. I’ve not heard much of the bass singer, but baritone Chris Whitaker is rock solid. I heard him a couple of times at my church after he replaced Clayton Inman in Won By One, and IMO the group musically didn’t miss a beat. Great singer and a nice guy.

  2. Will is smooth as silk. One of the best young basses out there to my way of thinking.
