Brian Free & Assurance “Acappella” Clips Online

Brian Free & Assurance now has sound clips from their new Acappella CD on their website.  The project is available to order for $20.

I really didn’t like the heavily processed vocals on the group’s last project (Worth It), and I was worried about the vocal processing that would be present on an acappella project.  I’m very happy to say that from the sound clips, the robotic voices are not found here, or at the least, they are not as prevalent.  The clips have made this project jump to the near top of my want list (just behind the Old Paths’ Wonderful Life).

For fans of Gold City’s Acappella Gold project from the early 90s (Brian’s final Gold City recording), it sounds like Assurance has used two arrangements from that project, “Won’t It Be Wonderful There” and the “Medley”.

Track List:

01. Over The Horizon
02. Won’t It Be Wonderful There
03. It Is Well
04. Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee
05. Great Is Thy Faithfulness
06. I Want To Tell You A Story
07. Mighty Spirit
08. Medley
09. Sweet, Sweet Spirit

  1. I too enjoyed the clips for this CD, I will get it eventually… $25 dollars for a Acappella CD is a bit steep IMO… Especially one with nine songs instead of the traditional ten… And also what is with the CD cover artwork? I can’t seem to make out what it even means… 😉 And also the Old Paths Wonderful Life is a very very good project! I am in the process of reviewing it right now… It can be had on Itunes for under 10 dollars…

  2. With Ricky Free producing their projects now, they most likely will not have the computerized sound anymore. The clips sound like it will be worth getting the whole thing.

  3. The BFA album is on iTunes now for $8.91

$20+5 shipping is insane. Especially for a CD with only 9 songs.

That being said, I really like the CD.

  4. Thanks for the tip! I just ordered the CD from Springside Marketing for $12.95 because I wanted a physical CD with that awful cover.

I also finally ordered Assurance’s “Greater Still” DVD for $12.95.
