Gold City has announced the addition of Brent Mitchell, formerly of Mercy’s Mark and N’Harmony, as their new tenor, replacing Josh Cobb.
I love Brent’s voice and his personality. He is one of the friendliest people I’ve met in southern gospel music and he has been one of my favorite tenors for several years. Last April when it was announced that Steve Ladd was resigning, I threw Brent’s name out as a possible replacement (Chris Cooper was eventually named the group’s tenor in June/July of last year). Needless to say, I can’t wait to hear him with the group. I’m hoping that Gold City uses the song “He Loves Me” to feature Brent. Brent’s beautiful take on the song was recorded on N’Harmony’s last project.
