The Kingsmen have posted a collection of sound clips from their soon to be released project on their Reverb Nation page. The project is entitled Once Again and will be the first with new members Bob Sellers (lead) and Chris Jenkins (tenor). The recording is planned for release at next month’s National Quartet Convention.
As the title implies, the group is revisiting songs from the group’s past (and from what I can tell, reusing the original music tracks for most of the songs). However, the songs are not the usual “Kingsmen Classics.” Most of the songs on the project are from the early 2000s. Yes, that means they are reaching back to cover several songs from the time spent as the Carolina Boys Quartet, including the #1 song, “God Sits On High.” The other songs on the project are:
- Here Comes The Bride
- I’ll Live In Glory
- I’ve Never Trusted You
- I’ve Got A Reservation
- Without Jesus
- One Way Trip
- Justified
- Oh What A Savior
- What A Happy Time In Heaven
